| G-JIVE gas to TurbineJames, I have had 4 Vario, Hughes 500, G-Jive being one of them, at that time it was just a kit in the box which I sold on to a friend, who built it as a gasser, Mike then did a deal,with that owner, and rebuilt it as G-Jive, you are right about the paint job it really is spot on I have a video of Mike Flying G-JIVE at one of the Vario SW meets, as a 5 blade gasser Mike has been in the process of changing G-Jive from gas to turbine but has encountered a few problems, the biggest being the position of the tail drive, so if you are going to change from gas to turbine do it before you paint it I see the new 500/paint job you are going to scale is a turbine, note that the exhaust has a deflector fitted to assist with deflecting thrust, and anti torque, also a Notar that would be cool as a turbine scaler, and no tail drive problem Peter R |
