| Jag,
I've used the hacker 77 heli esc for a long time on an Ion-x with a number of different motors. It works fine on 10s but the gov mode does not work well and you are better to use a 100% flat idle-up throttle curve. This will help keep the esc temps cooler.
I always used the hacker prog box to program this esc but you can also stick program it. See the manual at;
http://www.hacker-motor.com/images/...manual-Engl.pdf
The only two things you need to program are the motor timing (I always used 0-5 deg) and the non-gov mode.
I've tried a Kontronik 55-10-32 on my 10s Ion-x but even with a heatsink, I managed to thermal the esc a few times so I stopped using it. Too bad since the gov mode worked so well.
I have now gone to the Kontronik PowerJazz esc, and it's the best esc I've ever used!
Good luck and cheers, Tom C
