im sure you can but itll have to be like a 9t or even 8t pinion. you would probaly be better going less kv. i have the -6 on 3s but theres no way anyone needs more power then that. its insane now!

the -6 is not the motor to have for 4s. The KV is wayyy to high.
The -8 is what you need on 10 tooth.
The 6 will blow the head off on 4s lol, its a 4400kv motor, too high.

If you bling it, they will come :D

Scorpion 2221-8 ESC

Does the Align 35G speed controller work with this motor or do I need a different one? If so what are the options. Thanks Chuck

I'm new to this I just bought My scorpion from Innovations at the Indoor RC Show here in Phx. I will be running a 4cell system also. They said to use the 2221-10 for 4 cell and the 2221-8 is used with 3 cells. So I got the 2221-10. I'm new to the electric stuff. Still learning. That what was told to me.

That's good advice, but there are people running the -8 on 4S. The -6 is definetly not a good choice for 4S.

They told me you can do that but u will over heat you eng. You would not have the longevity if you ran 10 with the 4cells. They where the same price? I took the advice from Innovations.

Yes, you made the right choice. I ran the -10 on 4S and was very happy with it.

The Scorpion -6 on 4s would be running about 65,000rpm!! 10t pinion is the smallest you can get for that size shaft, that would give you around 4300 headspeed! I wouldn't recommend it!

Eat, sleep, 3D, crash, repair, repeat...
