| You have something out of wack... Probably the lower mast bearing is pushed down... Check the upper bearing block too...i have found it 40ths from being seated... Once all this is done...make sure the collars are loose, then put the pin thru the hub, and let it rest...Check your height..., it should be fine...Put the lower collar in, if you have up and down movement, add a shim on the bottom....If you use a split collar on the bottom, just take the slack up, and tighten... Tighten the top split collar... go hover for a min, and re-check...
I took the top thrust bearing out, and add a radial bearing...Its near impossible to preload two thrust bearings...they just don't work good together..
Its always good to loosen the top split collar , and the bottom collar before putting the pin in.. Bill |
