I wouldn't think twice about paying 150 for it. But this is also based on experience. Don't forget what the other guys said. Depending on your mechanical aptitude you may have trouble getting anything but an arf off the ground.

Hey SteveT....Why don't you check his posts ??? He has 33 posts at this time.... all on topic... and all have to do with learning how to fly Helicopters. So what if he ends up being Helidork... He is making complete sentences and not trying to start trouble now..

Welcome aboard 30636086

It's OK....It's not your fault !!!

BLADE 400!!

Thanks Dave! as I said before; Im not an english mayor or profesor, never claimed to be one either! Im an islander that speaks 4 different languages and read and write 2, English is not my primary language and typing is not one of my kills. When I get to these forums I had been tatooing for hours, so Im really exausted but I still get in here to get more knowledge and to listen to you guys advise, because even I have the means to go right away and spend thousands of $ on helis I rather listen to people that knoe what they are talking about(SOME) Im a tattoo artist that as a kid had some limited expererience with planes, then as a tenager with cars and later boats. Now as an adult I just got into helis, I like challange and helis are not a walk on the park (at least when you start)
But anyway I dont have the time or inclination to have to keep explaining my self to people that I dont know why keep thinking or believing that Im someone else or somebody they know, Its sad because stuff like that can push other people away fromt these hobby, but not me I deal with all kind of caracters on daily basis plus Im married! That alone, that alone has teached me over the years to be patient! LOL

Don't worry about it and don't let assholes scare you away. This probably isn't going to be the first and last time someone makes a reference to you being or sounding like heliman08. He rubbed alot of people the wrong way and your typing resembles his. Try to ignore it and keep on learning. That's what it's all about right? Don't worry about explaining yourself all the time. The people that are actually going to help you don't require any explanation.

If you are truly interested in getting a heli, setting it up correctly and learning how to fly it ... swing by the ESky forum and talk to those guys, they are awesome!

30636086,

Sorry I got you so mad. I was just saying that your stories were entertaining. It was like waiting for the next episode of MacGyver; I couldn't wait for the next one. You’re right though, who cares what other people think. Opinions are like butt holes, mine just happens to be rosy.

I don't think his typing really resembles Heliman08 at all. Yes they both mispell words (big deal, that's 90% of RR users anyway), and both talk about Blade 400's but that is about it. Their style is completely different.

Heliman08 HAS a blade 400 (look in his gallery). 306 is asking questions about buying a 400. Also notice that 306 sets his subject for every post, which Heliman08 didn't ever do.

BLADE 400!!

I have a WALKERA #4 because I just got it with out doing any research, then I started asking questions here and there, and the guys that own them help me alot with home made mods and told me how to adapt a few trex parts to it! and now Im interested in getting another heli (better than the walkeras) but dont want to spend 1000s right away (I did that with a plane and thats what got me out, was too much money that lasted less than a week! a tree got on the birds way and booooom! All I had left was the radio!) That I gave to the guy that was there that day! At least he was happy that day!

I want to take my time and get better but will like to get a heli that I can keep once I get better! Now I have a couple of 2 chanels (to goof around and chase the cat and piss the wify off!)and the walkera and I have been told by guys here to go the BLADE 400 beceause I was looking at the BELT CP and the FALCON 3D, but was told to go for a BLADE, I dont own one! Thats why Im asking questions about it! Im sure once I get my next heli I will have more specific questions.

True, but time will tell. I never really cared that heliman08 told his stories. They were interesting and usually provoked heated or passionate debate, which is always fun. I know lots of people who like heliman08 exaggerate, or lie about events where there was no need. Hell, as far as I am concerned, he was never truly proven to be a liar. Even if he did, so what. This is a fun site and flying helis is an excellent hobby. I enjoy meeting new people, and if we're all having fun and learning from each other then that's all that truly matters.

Don't know if you ever make it up north but Performance R/C Hobbies in Burlington has a Blade 400 RTF complete for $375 that's brand new in the box.

All other topics aside I think you're best bet is gonna be the B400 brand new with all the fixings. Hard to go wrong with that radio. The heli is solid. Not luxurious but solid and you end up with a lipo and charger that you can use on other heli's. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned the 10 model memory on the dx6i but look it up if you're unaware. Don't just give it away when you crash you're heli. Don't kid yourself you are going to crash it eventually. Oh yeah, and parts availability is second to none. All the hobby stores know what thier bread and butter is (the high volume stuff that every joe sixpack wants) and they keep it well stocked. If I was you I'd stop researching and just go buy it. You won't regret it.

Still reading? Why aren't you on your way to the lhs?

Trip over the bridge?

If your in Tacoma, you might be confusing Burlington and Bremerton. Bremerton is on the peninsula. Burlington is north of Everett, I5 exit 230.

No, you give it up StevenT - I spoke with him on the phone. His phone number was a Tacoma number, and he's authentic.
