sometimes...a mishap can be a blessing in disguise.....last week I broke the HBK while on the bench....so its been sitting for a few days....got my part today(THANKS GYRONUT)and while I'm waiting for batts to charge to fly the MINI decided to start the HBK....so I'm staring at the head...still trying to figure out what is not right as the pitch is still uneven..and I just couldn't seem to get it set up with all arms level and everything right...I've been at this for weeks....building and re-building the head...re setting up ....EVERYTHING........today it hit me like a brick wall...stared me in the face.....somewhere along the way I put one of the control hoops in upside down....there is a short side link and a long side..short side to the flybar control arms...long side to the upper mixing arms....I HAD ONE REVERSED......no wonder I could not get the head set up right.....DUH.....man this is cool...both helis back and even better than ever...I was pissed last week but now I'm happy as can be...the mini is better than new and the HBK will be up tomorrow and I'll give an update....now I can start putting the HBK through the paces as I'm 99% positive this is the cause of all my problems...well gotta go...One round of flights before dark....be back later.......man its always something simple.....I've had this head apart DOZENS of times looking for this

I just came in from 2 great flights on my 600E man that thing is awesome. My neighbor was very impressed with it and wanted to see the thing flying fast so I slapped the 2nd pack in and out into the road along side the house I went. All I can say is WOW I really need more batteries for this thing and it would become the #1 ship in my fleet.... It was 12 minutes of pure heaven even with the wind blowing pretty good.... I still can't get the smile off my face...

Ive been on helidirect at the workbench for the last half hour need I say more?

Rookie mistake just completely shutoff concentration and watched it fly forgot I was flying a heli. Came around a circle and let it get to close to me woke up in time to watch the crash.

At least it was on the second battery a new field makes things different.

I left a bearing out of one of the main blade grips for a few flights once.

hey does anyone know anything about ceramic bearings...I think I just smoked a main shaft bearing in the MINI...I was looking on heli direct and they have ceramic ones that they SAY are much better but I have no idea...they are a dollar cheaper than the stock ones

Most 3D guys use the bocca bearings just for the quality, I don't remember reading about anyone using ceramic bearings as the way to go but try posting it in the rex forum or the mini for a better idea what you need... These guys have alot of experience with this stuff....

Ive heard boca bearings are the best and you can get them sealed. They have them listed by heli. Heres bocas site.

Those prices are a little high. You could definitely rebuild the heli once or twice.

yep...ceramic cools much faster...alright, AS USUAL...I'll be the guinea pig...gonna order some tonight...I'm pretty sure its a bearing ...when I switch to idle up I get a noticable screeching sound....nothing seems to be rubbing or binding and the tail is kicking a little....but it was REALLY windy...I need a good day to do some test flying.....can bearings also cause a vibration????...I dont see how but anythings possible in this hobby...I guess at 2000 rpm any little rough spot gets magnified

I would pull the bearing and see if it is notchy in your fingers... Sometimes soaking them in a good oil will fix the problem if it's not notchy feeling....
