Ive been hering a lot about this binding thing on this forum. I know that it will become an issue for me in the near future since I will be replacing the servos on my b400. I sure would like to get some info on this. How,what,WHY and where to bind? You folks are so helpful! Thanks to all. Gary Malsbury

LOL

Hi Gary, the binding is the process of mating a particular receiver to a model in the DX6i model memory. To rebind the current model, quite simply insert the binding plug that came with the unit into the battery socket of the receiver and power it up. Then, hold the trainer switch on on the transmitter and turn the transmitter on. The receiver will be rapid flashing at first, then slow flashing, then on solid, then you can shut it all down and remove the binding plug.

You should rebind whenever you reset trims or recentre servos etc, as the rebind process sets the default (midstick) postions of the servos - the position they will return to if signal from the TX is lost for any reason.

If you wanted a second receiver bound (new heli or plane etc) simply select the new model from the TX menu then follow the above steps. Each receiver can only be bound to one model on the TX. This avoids the possibilty of accidentaly selecting the wrong model (with the wrong settings) and causing a disaster.

Cheers, Dave.
