HELP PLEASE Today while flying my Synergy a whining sound started coming from somewere in the tail. I belive it is in the front part of the tail boom but not sure. Also one of my tail grips has a lot of side to side play in it and the other one dose not. I noticed this while checking the bearings in the tail grips. The bearings were in good shape. What ever is causing the whining sound is causing the fuel to oscillate. Thanks, Gator

I would take everything apart from wherever you think the sound may start to wherever you think it may end, inspect each part, refit and reassemble. Only way to be sure.
pull tail shaft out and see if both bearings are glued on still

Also check the tail output shaft and tail hub to make sure they are not bent. Others and I experienced humming sound coming from a bent hub. If you hit the tail going out the door or at the end of a bad auto you can bend the hub.
If you pirouette slowly in a eye level hover and the sound is louder when the tail is closer to you then the problem is with something in the tail.

I noticed the sound was getting louder as the tail was closer to me yesterday. I will pull the tail apart later. Thanks for the help.

OK I pulled the tail apart all of the bearing are in great shape. Both of the bearing on the TT were up front. One was all the way up to the TT collar and the other was a few inchs behind it(that cant be good). I think now would be a good time to install my Hyper TT .Also I can not get the (100-364 M3x4) set screw that holds the tail bevel gear pin in place to come out. So I can't check the tail output shaft to make sure it is not bent. But I dont think it is. Thanks for helping. Gator
