Its getting better. My motor is now allmost broke in.
I am using a traxis pipe and I found a very restrictive baffle in it.
Now Its allmost like flying a 32 now.
It really likes high head speeds.
I am working on a .21 right now. I have machened the crank
down to the .12-.18 size allready. Now just to tig weld up a motor mount.

Rockcralwer did you use mini servoes ?
How much does your 15 weigh? I am two inches from selling mine, it just sits in the corner staring at me.

I am using standart servos to get a comparison between the
std and the minis. I will try to wiegh it after lunch.
Dont give up yet. I almost have mine flying like a weak 32 now.
Make sure you dont exceed 8 1/2 deg pitch.
I am in the middle of making a motor mount for a .21 right now.
I have most of it worked out so far. I just have to wait for an extra motor mount to cut.
pequeajim can I have your stuff you are not using for your elec
conversion for R&D?
If I addapt it for a .21 a .32 will drop right in. The question is with the
tiny little cluch bell. I might have to tap an r30 cluch bell
and insert the q-15 gear.
We will see.

Hey Rock:

Sure, once I committ to the E-conversion, I'll send you the misc parts for free.

I am waiting to see how you make out with the .21 though and I can't afford a Hacker motor.

ugg... I don't know where these guys get the money!

I need a new job!

Jim!

This is BS guys.. Why are you performing the job of the manufactures non existent R&D department??? I feel for you all... hope this thing works out good.. I have some faith in the electro conversion idea and scrub the nitro ideas.... (except of course if you could shoehorn a 32 into it... ) Good luck.. may the heli gods shine on your endeavor..

They did not use the OS15CVA for that they used another engine for it, there is also a picture from the engine on the quick Japan site.
Does anybody know what engine that is?

I did a very sloppy loop yesterday and some aggresive stall turns.
I will try to have my buddy tape it for you to see.
And no I am not using that POS Os 15.
Its rated at .63hp where my hotbodies .18 I got from ricks is arount 1.1hp.
It still feels like flying a semi weak 32 size heli.
.21 upgrade just around the corner.
