| Just bought Phoenix yesterday, put the update on and the models from the website and have to say that I amazed at how good it is. I've always used XTR since Realflight G2 and thought that it would be hard to top but Phoenix is much better in graphics and physics. I found it easier to set up than XTR as well as you don't have to set what channel numbers you want to assign to which stick, just move the sticks to calibrate and job done.
Also XTR wouldn't run on my laptop very well, pretty jerky even at low res with all the features turned off but Phoenix runs at a constant 61 frames per second with V-sync on and is silky smooth and 300 frames per sec with V-sync off. The laptop I am using isn't a cheap laptop and will play rainbow 6 and assassins creed (the latest 3d games) perfectly so I could never understand why XTR wouldn't run properly.
I also had a play with the multiplayer feature last night and apart from the 1st minute being really jerky it then became smooth and there was no lag at all. Only downside was the chat messages seemed to take 30 secs or more to be displayed so it was alittle slow to have a conversation. I loved the multiplayer feature on G2 and missed it XTR and I will definately be using it alot
Anyway, all in all I'm really impressed with Phoenix and will definately recommend it. Just hope to see more people online with it in the future
