I'm one of those who touched his toes and thought of his country and bought one from the UK.And 'while I was down there'I got one with a receiver as well.

It made me think that you bought one from the UK and then got one from Hong Kong as well !!

Barry, the NET code is on the front right switch panel, next to the trim button. The box end usually has the system code.

Good question....

Hopefully now that the DSX9 has CE certification, the 12X (DSX12 ??) 2.4 SHOULD be able to claim a Type 2 variation and MacGregors should be able to "self certify". That takes various assumptions into account.

a) There are no changes made to the RF section
b) MacGregors can get a sample 35 MHz system through certification within the EU ( approx 25% of the cost of Japanese certification)

{Reason for getting this certified locally is that as it will not contain any US technology and therefore an in depth Technical Manual can be written in house prior to presenting for testing}.

Obviously these will need to be verified before any final commitment to a price is made. I believe that initially the variant that MacGregors will get is the dedicated system with the modular system coming in a little bit later. This may be a stumbling block if MacGregors cannot get the modular system tested first.

I know it all seems a bit arse about face, but would be the cheapest and probably the quickest method.

At the moment, the "Guesstimated" price is approx £ 899.95 for the modular system ($1750) but that would be full RRP (MSRP) so the street price will be somewhat less.

Forgot to add.... the above is pure conjecture on my part.

what's the 12X status across on your side of the pond ? Is it available yet ?

Just had a look on Horizon site... now listed as out of stock. Does that mean that it came in and went out immediately ? I see the price is listed as $2,299.99 ( £1,182 ) but discounted to $1499.99 ( £771 ), is that typical street price ??
