O.K Guys th DSX9 is £550 in the U.K. This is an absolute rip-off it is a PCM 9X v2 with a different Tx board. The 9X2 is £430 at Midland Helicopters so why the extra. Or £270 for an import on 35mhz or for £20 less you can import a Futaba 12FGH which comes with a 14 channel Rx
It's time we all turned round and just said NO to this piracy, so come on Britain lets make a stand and say shovel it McGreggor.

I Will also advocate a boycott as well having just been spoken to by terry at macgregors in a very very rude manner.

BOYCOTT MACGREGORS!!!

i do hope if the rumour is true the horizon hobby us are not happy with macgregors and want to bin them !!!

macgregors while the transmitter had not come out the price was £450.00 with servos not £550.00 on the whole.

This is now becoming an obsession!

Order your stuff from South Africa
Just bought a DSX9 complete set for R 5500.
Do your own currency conversions, but looking at currency, postage and tax, waaaay cheaper for me to buy here.
And if you search around here a bit, you might just get another 1K off that
These are 100mW sets, but I range checked it to +- 60 meters, on the ground.
(Our stupid telecoms regulators, heck, they can't even spell milliwatt)
In the air, about 150m, me eyes are stuffed, too much methanol
All that is with the button pushed in.

Oh, comes with 4X DS589 servos, 1500NiMiH RX pack, 1500NiMiH TX pack.
Other than failsafe and modulation functions, and some different stickers, the same as the old DX9II.
I need to point out, the RX bundled with the set, failed after about 2 hours, was kindly replaced by my fave hobbyshop the next day.
Also bought a AR6100e RX for my, gasp, electric, works faultlessly.
Flying said 3D capabable heli in the the lounge, with a WiFi netwirk running.
Also can't sprell after too meny beers

Horizon Hobby have bugger all to do with MacGregors. Horizon can throw their dummy into a corner as much as possible but as long as JR (who are the manufacturers NOT Horizon) are happy with MacGregors then it will carry on as normal.

As MacGregor's are selling what JR are supplying, then Horizon can stuff themselves ! They don't rule the world (yet !)

Anyway, why are HH supposedly "not happy" with that lot at MacGregors ??

Vale,

I find that very difficult to understand... all my dealings with Terrry is that he is a patient bloke who will go to great lengths to explain things to you. If he was

Nope Slartybart not rude all quite the contrary

Terry has always been fine till now obviously i am not the only one to ring macgregors to ask a very simple question

"why advise before launch of dsx9 in uk prices were £450.00"

while i tried to explain that in the 10 maybe more phone calls i have had with macgregors since sept/oct when launch date had been given have they now raised the price up. told to "SHUT UP A MINUTE" i then tried to explain that i was the customer and the phone was put down on me.

i can only assume he has had a lot of flack from other peed of customers to be so rude.

This is now becoming an obsession!

LOL, I feel sorry for Terry.... he has to face all the incoming flak with some rather pi$$ed off people. Chances are that there is bugger all that he can do about it. Not sure how high up in the food chain he is but he does his best.

I have just looked on Inwoods and price for TX with battery is £400

I personally don't think that's too bad, and when funds allow will order one myself.

Calling for a boycott Sounds to me like you are trying to swallow a bitter pill and have decided to air your grievance on a public forum. I haven't got a problem with that and that's your free choice to make, which you have Trouble is you don't know who reads this posts and may end up S******G on your own doorstep. Just my view on things.

If you know the full facts behind JR and McG's pricing policies then please feel free to share your knowledge

If people want a UK DSX9, and they are happy paying £550 for it, then they'll buy it. End of

May I suggest that you boycott it and don't buy one

Sean
