I will be outting it on my small honey bee king. What are the differences between them? I know the 6200 has 2 recievers but is also like $30 more.

6100 and 6100e are identical with the exception of the "e" means end connectors, usually better on smaller electric helis but it depends on how you mount your rx.

The 6200 as you saw has two recievers.

So they all work fine? I might just get the 6100 then.

Yeah the only difference between the 6100 and 6100e is top and end pin orientations - They're considered park flyer RXs and both have light soft flexible cases - The 6100e does weigh slightly more with the extra piece of board used to orient the pins out the end but big whoop

The 6200 is considered a full range RX with the optional use satellite RX and has a hard case like the 7000 and other large RXs - I myself like the hard case which makes it easier to mount and doesn't get all deformed and such - Right now I'm using one in my BCP without the satellite RX - Someday I may move it to my Trex 450 and maybe add the satellite

So if you use a 6200 or 7000 on a park flyer, do you need the satelite rx or can you just leave it off and still have the range of the 6100?

You have to understand that the range of the recievers is the same. The 2nd reciever gives you signal redundancy and prevents shadowing with slightly different antenna orientation incase the one of the recievers is blocked from the incoming signal by a motor or piece of carbon or whatever.

As for if you can use one without the satilite reciever, I don't know, I've never tried.

I beleive you can use a 6200 without the extra receiver...but the 7000 will not work without one.. This is only hear say...as I have never tried it... because...why ?

It's OK....It's not your fault !!!

I recently mounted the 6100 on my Trex 450xl, there is a limited number of places to mount stuff on there, the 6100 works great where it is but if I ever went to a 6200 wasnt sure where I would mount the satelite, but if it isnt needed, problem solved.

The 6200 is the only full range RX that works without a satellite for park flying
The 7000 and others have to have at least 1 satellite attached for 'em to work
I've been using a 6200 in a micro heli without the satellite for awhile now

Thank you, when I purchased my DX7 and had the option of buying one and getting a second free, I opted for the 6200, later I had doubts due to I fly small heli's and space is tight.

With the option of no satellite I have the best of both worlds, a single rx for the small ones, but dual antanae if I get a larger heli, or plank.

Thanks

Are you certain the AR6200 works without the satellite receiver? I've seen post on RCGroups that it does not work without the satellite. If it does I will have to buy one for my Shogun heli instead of the AR6100.

I'll go look for the manual on the AR6200 now to see what I can find.

The 2 page binding instruction do not mention running it without the external receiver. And the product description on the Horizon website do not mention this either. Would be nice to have an official statement whether it does or does not require the external receiver like the larger receivers do.

I sure hope the 6200 works without the satellite as I've been using it like that in my Blade CP for months now

Here's one post from the man himself about it

Guess I might have to buy one or two and see how light they can be made without the plastic case.

I just received an AR6200 and it does not work properly without the satellite receiver. It does have the blinking LED for brownout reporting, so the firmware should be new enough to cover running without the satellite. I tried with it bound to my DM8 module and to my LP5DSM module. I can make it work, but it isn't what I would call normal operating procedures. Maybe it will go back to Horizon to see about firmware after my other receivers return, or maybe I'll just suck it up and find a spot for the satellite on my large heli (400 class Shogun v2).
