Notice the s9650 Futaba servos on cyclic,(on 6 volts) , they are the best servos for the EP8 by far; but , you have to do some grinding and "Dremeling" on the frames , and they just barely fit , no room to spare.....

EDIT: also notice the V-paddles , awsome cyclic and stability...

Thats the Mega 22/30/3E, I just switched to High Gov. on my Pheonix 80 yesterday, what a differance, did some pop ups in the drive cant waite to get to the field today. Still need to change the frame for better lipo fit the 6S2P 2200mAh only runs about 4min. I had set the heli asside because of my other new birds and was thinking of selling it, but there aren't realy any other birds that compare to the 8EX, so I am upgrading and pleased so far, I still need to change the gyro and tail servo, I will descide today after a few flights, either the G770 or the 2100T. I love the Scorpions I have the 1000 in my HDX, thats part of the reason for Gov. mode, I stripped the teeth of the main in a back flip last week, heavy thumb.

Hey bigdog , you do not like the gy401 gyro ? How come ?

I like the gy401 , you can just set it up and switch to HH mode and not worry about anything...

The 2100T is less than half the size of the 401 and it has seperate limits for right and left rudder. I put it on my 600EP to check it out and it held the tail no problem, so I was confident when I put it on the HDX 500SE. I have G770s on both my 600s with Airtronics 94758Z competition tail servos, center the servo, zero pitch the tail, set the limit pot and your done, and with the recommended end pionts at 150, its sick fast.

I guess I`m just stuck on the gy401 and don`t want to try something new. The gy401 has been a good gyro in that it has never let me down , never let go and just holds rock solid .. even flying backwards inverted(which I can do barely) , it just holds...

If that was a 401 I would leave it but its a 240. I finally cut the frame last night, the 6S2P was driving me crazy, to much power flux causing the ESC to drop out. Changed the tail servo to the Hyperion DS20 GMD, hopefully the frustration is close to an end, it never fails there always seems to be one heli that has nothing but problems.

I don`t understand , are you using 2 x 3cell packs in series to make a 6s1p , or are you using 6s2p(that would be 12 cells total in a 6s2p pack)
, 12 total cells(6s2p) would be way too heavy and bulky for the EP8..

Your right, just in a hurry, we've done some testing and you loose as much as 5v hooking them that way, sometimes it would be smooth full power, and other times the motors up and down and than the ESC cuts out, I couldnt even do a loop it would quit just as I was coming over the top and tumble, I was amazed I managed to get enough head speed to auto. Hopefuly I will have the conversion done tonight, it bothers so much I didn't even fly tonight.
