Is there any improvements on battery time for the radio when upgraded to 2.4GHz?

If you own a 14mz always have a spare battery. On a good day you will get thru at least one pack.

Buy a Sony NP-F570 as a spare (Cheaper then a Futaba one)

The backlight for the LCD seems to draw more current than the TX-module does.
-Fiddling with the TX on the bench drains the battery more than flying.

A spare battery is nice to have, no doubt!

By all means, setting up takes much more battery, and thats without even transmitting.

Its sucking all that juice during setup b/c the processor is running the windows operating system, but if all you're doing is flying, there's no problem.

Figures...another windows application slowing down my life in some way.

I recommend the Fromeco carrier board and 2600 battery. I get more time out of that than the stock battery. I use that and the stock battery and have never had to worry about it. Although it does suck down batteries pretty well

If the wings are travelling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter
