Hi
Trying to screw the seesaw into the hub in my X50 right now, without success. I know the tips from RJX about red loctite and not to overtighten the screws. But I can get it to not run smooth just by using my fingers to thighten the two screws. If I back them off a little the seesaw and hub getting a play. I don’t think that it will hold with red loctite and the torque from my fingers…Tips, solutions ?

Wise, check to see if you have the correct screws for the seesaw and make sure that they are not binding against the flybar,I do not tottaly undersatnd you but this seems like what you are asking.

Wise, double check the bearing collars for correct alignment and make sure that you are useing the 3x6 mounting bolts. Please be very patient in this area as it will work really well when done correctly.

Im with buzzsaw, double check your bearing collars, seems that might be the issue.

Thanks

I will check this when I come home. But I think that the collars are mounted with the flange towards the seesaw. In this stage I have not the flybar installed in the seesaw. If I take a 3mm axle and put it straight through the hub, bearings and collars, it will rotate freely. So the bearings and collars must be in a straight line? Can it be the bearings not inserted enough in the hub? FYI both bearings and collars was premounted from the factory. I'll be back on this later.

Flange bearing is inserted from the outside of the hub, bearing collar is inserted from inside the hub thru the flange bearing, and then seesaw is secured with 3x6mm bolt

Foxden, thats exactly how it is assembled. I might have figured where the problem is. I found out that if I first torque one of the bolts, the seesaw moves freely. But on the other side, between the seesaw and collar, there is a tiny gap . Then when I torque down the other bolt, I get a "pulling" force between the seesaw and bearing and the bolt head. It's just like the seesaw is to thin or the hub is to wide. ou gan see (almost) the gap in picture #2. Maybee mandrel's solution with shims would work this out. But I think that would be a "workaround" and it realy shouldent be this play on this beautiful heli.

Just wanted to say that I solved this issue with one 0.1mm shim at each side of the seesaw It was a tight fit, but with a tiny tweezer and patience it worked out.
