I am getting a second RX for my 7C 2.4, I will be putting it in my Raptor, first one is in my Rex, do I have to select model #2 before binding it. I'm not quite sure how the radio knows if it is bound to the Rex or Raptor? Thanks Mark

It dont, futaba dont have "model match".

so, when you bind it, it doesnt matter if you have model one or model two selected, not like JR/Spektrum.

Unfortunally.

Model match?

This is a little off topic, but it’s apparent that the second receiver binds with the transmitter that’s identical to the first. Assuming no one will be flying both models at the same time using the same radio, it’s obvious that switching between the models is how the transmitter associates between one model to the next. Having said that, how is it unfortunate that it doesn’t have model match as MrMel stated? What makes that feature unique? I honestly don’t see how this changes anything unless I’m missing something.

My guess is that in addition to sending a unique ID code, a transmitter with "model match" would also send the model memory number. Both would have to match what the RX was linked/bound with. So far, I've only heard of Spektrum radios having this feature. It's been discussed several times before, so you could search for more info.

Thanks for explaining. However, it’s not a good enough reason to ever consider of making a switch. I’ll stick with Futaba.
