I contacted Ebay and reported the listing, but I don't know if 11 hours is enough time to for them to do anything.

Well he didnt change his add at all so far...and 2 hours left to end of auction....and it is up to 1025.00 I am going to watch this guys feedback, in about a week, I bet it is not a good one for this sale? He has been contacted by Numerous RR members, and he does not seem to care. I only got a responce from him once, from the very first e-mail I sent him. and he insisted the radio worked with the heli....I dont understand why he would want to mess up his good standing feedback?....I guess when you sell 8,000 or more Items he dont mind a negative against him??

"Here's what I sent to him:

Are you aware that the radio is not compatable with the receiver? Therefore this heli is not RTF and you are just going to rip someone off, not to mention get them hurt! Please adjust your add accordingly."

He waited until after the auction was over and replied that the winning bidder was made aware of the situation.

I hope that "winning bidder" is aware of the cost of a new radio!

Well I e-mailed the buyer, and he e-mailed me back...and told me he was told about the servos...but was not informed about the radio, he said he got a discount on the heli, because of the servos, and he was not informed about the radio...he said after he paid he realized the radio is the wrong one..I told him we contacted the seller many times about the radio, and he did nothing about it...

I bought the heli... with a plan ):-)

I bought the Heli not knowing about the servos not being up to par, no biggie. I noticed the radio issue as well but I didn't really factor it in because I'll be using my JR 7202 along with a different recever.
The guy says, "...I gotta tell you that I understand that the servos don't work, I'm not sure what's going on with them". He also said because of safety, he didn't let the guy fly it around but it started and ran fine. Of course all this didn't add up so I started chipping away at his statements. I got him to discount the price to under $1000 AND I paid using my VISA card. If things are totaly heywire I have an ace-in-the-hole.
Bottom line: $1800 + Heli for under $1000 (including shipping) paid on my credit card = Can't loose!!!

I'll let you know what it looks like once I get it.

Oh, I almost forgot, a big thanks to all who sent messages to these guys, you really made negotiations VERY easy!!

Thanks,

KT

ds821s are for small electrics or 30 size nitros... the vibrations from a 90 would kill these servos, so he said because of safety is true... they would probably go out on the first spool up and you wouldn't have control

I would also recommend a full break-down of the heli... Make sure all bearings are good, linkages aren't cracked, and that all of the nuts and bolts are loctited down. If you can think of anything else you'd need to do, then do that too. It is a used helicopter and it was purchased from someone that scammed the pawn shop owner, so you will definitely want to go the extra mile with this thing. Basically a full dis-assemble and re-build of the helicopter.

Got the heli...!!!

Here's a quick update on the eBay 90SE. As I previously wrote, I won the auction for $1375 + $61 shipping. After I won I called to pay and based on the many emails from you all here at Runryder, the guy discounted the heli to $1200 including shipping. I realized the radio was incompatible with the receiver at that time but I waited until I had the heli in hand before I called him on that, I didn't want to run the risk of him re-calling the package in transit. I called him on the radio and just like that, he discounted the heli another $300. The only other thing that was amiss was the fact that who ever sold the heli to the pawnshop swapped the 710mm blades for 600mm wood blades. I paid a total of $900 for the heli so a few more $$$ for blades, servos and another $175 for a used DX7 radio is still an outstanding deal.
Again, thanks to all who sent emails to these guys!!

Just glad we as a group may have prevented someone from getting screwed.
I hope to see the community do more stuff like this to weed out the badguys. This Hobby is expensive enough with out being ripped off.

Motor seems OK...

I've not started it yet but the compression is wickedly strong, which is of course a good sign. I've got the new servos in hand and CF 710mm blades on the way. I'm still kicking around the idea of using my JR7202 radio and 790 receiver instead of investing in a new radio to match the currently installed receiver. If I run accross an "offer that I can't refuse" on a DX7 then I'll re-install the receiver.

Thanks,

KT
