Starting from 14 April 2008 the following prices apply: 4010 VStabi 399, -? 4013 VStabi with operating sector 499, -? 2295 VStabi in the set with LOGO 500 3D 899, -? 2298 VStabi in the set with LOGO 600 3D 999, -? 4143 VStabi inclusive. Head Upgrade for t-Rex 499, -? The Mikado VStabi is manufactured further in Germany. We request customers, who already acquired an individual VStabi (part numbers 4010 and 4143) in the year 2008 at a more expensive price, to announce itself until 31 May 2008 to Mikado model helicopter. We reserved operating sector with the part number 4152 for these customers a VStabi. * The cause for the price reduction is that our new supplier realizes in-house a more favorable cost structure. We would like to pass on saving directly to our customers. Ralf Buxnowitz MIKADO * The customers concerned keep that free to operating sector after availability and after collecting main of the original invoice voucher. A legal claim does not exist.

This is very interesting.
The price in the US has been "cheaper" than the Euro conversion would have suggested so this may just bring the Euro prices in line.

OR

The rest of the worlds prices may come down as well.

The new supplier bit is also interesting, i do wonder if this is going to be V2 unit

we can never have too many, can we ?

This probably has something to do with the new flybarless units coming out at substantially lower prices. (even though 2 axis) I was wondering how long this would take....

Probably but still i want to see what new companys make now. Are they lower prices too a little bit? Personally i dont like to got those so much small boxes and wires so i prefer new coming flybarless setup. All in one box is what i need if i go to flybarless.

If you put all those thing to heli. V-Stab, Gov, reg, servos naturally etc.. it looks like a flying cable wires

Not associated with Mikado at all but the unit is superb with only 4 additional wires. If you think it includes a Tail gyro so you can get rid of another box and if using like a 611 or something you will save space and weight. Make a like for like comparison and this is a superb deal for the new price.

Pic of installation with wires, no bother but each to there own of course.
:-)

The price in euros went down but the price in dollars stayed the same. That's inflation in the supply of dollars.

So its a bit tough to understand. If we bought in 2008, we are entitled to part# 4125? How do we prove when we bought?

Vbar Pricing

I have a friend that is a Mikado dealer in the USA and I asked him a few questions on this matter...here's my understanding...it may not be 100% correct...but this is what he told me ..

The US dollar value has been beaten to a pulp lately so the US vbar's have been sold at a much lower cost already as compared to the Overseas markets. There will be no "refund" or any noticeable price drop for the Vbar electronics in the USA. I guess we have already been getting a refund/lower cost already.

so 700$ US seems to be the going rate for vbar and will remain the cost in the US...Maybe this is wrong but that's what I have been told...we'll just have to see what happens though

BTW---If you do the conversion from Euros to dollars it looks like the Vbar cost in euros is equivelent to 630$ US....maybe we should consider ordering from the UK?

I just got the confirmation from my dealer buddy that the Price of the VBar is NOT going to go down in the USA until ALL the Stock in the USA is sold off and the dust settles...it's going to be at least a couple of months ....but there is a "SPECIAL" deal for those who do buy a vbar in the USA now...
