Blades, Night Flying and Painting > New paint on my 600N canopy

Hey all just wanted to show off the new can. I just finished shooting the colors today. This was one of the stocker white cans with the checkers on the back that comes with the 600 Pro kit. All it needs now is a color sand and clear coat. Will update with new pics when I get the clear on it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. All the colors should bring themselves together once I get a good clear coat on it. I will update the post with some completed pics when I get it done.

Looks good, I think some bright florecent green would really make it pop in the air though.

Green is for old fogy girlies who cant see no more.. Dont worry bud, I will paint yours bright enough that you dont need your bifocals to fly!

Very nice!
Clean lines. Good job.

I just started painting and can't find a good clear.
If you don't mind me asking, what clear are you going to use?

Thanks.

ShopLine and OmniClear are both excellent, and are reasonably priced.

Bills mentions are great choices. I am using some stuff a buddy turned me onto called U-tech.. Its fantastic, it sprays very easy, and I dont think anything can eat it away after it cures, plus it is very flexible. I have had great many flights with it on our canopies and so far not one stress crack. No special care and handling and it shines real well. Oh its a 4:1 so it may not be available everywhere

i use the ppg omni or shop line!but there this stuff called xtreem by 5 star its really easy to spray and its hard to make it run or sag!!! pluss its way more flexable than the ppg stuff. im starting to use it all the time!!!!

Dude your paint jobs make me wish I still lived in Ridgecrest!!

The flexibility is very important to me. We try to control how thick we lay it on for our cans because we are also looking to keep it as light as possible. Thats why I used the clear I identified. I may look into the 5 star products.

BTW I have been thinkin about that kind of pin striping.. What size brush do you use to do that on our size models. They are around $12 - $20 a pop for the good hair ones and I would like to minimize how many I buy by trial and error.
