Header tank is designed to fit over a protruding shoulder post. When mounted flat againt the fan shroud mount plate, it will not center and the tank will come in contact with the hex bolt head from the main tank mount.
To solve both, I added a flanged spacer. It was made from a busted raptor frame header post.
Header tankThat is a great idea, I actually used another brand K & S and it worked great as well.
Thanks

Just use an OS Bubbleless Clunk or a Fuel Magnet and you will not need a header tank. My OS Bubbleless Clunk sucks every last drop of fuel out and I have never had a leaning problem while using it.

Does the header tank come in contact with a bolt head? If built per manual, because the fan plate and main tank bracket are in the same plane, bolt head should rub againt the back side of the header tank. This is because the bolt head is taller than the header bracket thickness.
header tankJust put alittle peace of doubled up servo tape on the back of the headertank after cleaning it very good with actone or a like cleaner. Put the tape where the bolt comes in contact with the tank, then wrap a tiewrap around the tank and zip in place. This way works great and will stay in place without movement so no worries of rubbing. This works tried, tested, and in use

My header tank wont even stay in the bracket. The header is to small, or maybe the bracket is to big, either way the header in my kit slides around easily in the bracket and doesn't lock into place. It's not even usable so I fly without it.

jet_dYou header tank on your RJX Xtreme 50 doesn't stay in the bracket???
This is the 1st I've heard of a tank not staying in the bracket, all my RJX header tanks have a pair of ribs molded into the tank and once you squeeze them past the bracket they pretty much stay in place, I've got 6 tanks and they are all ribbed and haven't had any of them come loose???

That's right. The ribs on my header do nothing. The header tank slides in and out of the bracket at will.

Does the Fuel Magnet fit the stock RJX maintank without modds? I heard the hole in the tank is to small to get it in?
Have you tried this for sure?

I use the OS Bubbleless Clink in fuel tank of my Xtreme 50. The hole was too small for the OS Bubbleless Clunk. I just chucked the OS Clunk in my drill and used my grinder to remove just enough material from the side of the clunk, as it turned in the drill, to get it in the tank with little pressure. It works great and it can literally suck every last drop out of the tank.
