Hi Guys,

I currently have Align Trex 600E and have a opportunity to acquire a Tunder Tiger e620SE. I do not have any experience with the TT e620, although the TT birds seem to have a good reputation, I would like some comments on the TT e620. Thank you!

Got both, and the E620 is far better in my opinion.
however, you are nnot comparing "apples with apples".
The E620 is a 10S machine and the T-Rex is a 6S machine.
The E620 is a smooth precision heli (well, with a quick UK head on) that doesnt stress the packs even when flying hard.
The T-rex is more for hardcore 3D and will destroy batteries as they are operating on the limits when pushing the machine.
If you have 10S packs or dont mind investing the extra money, go for the E620, otherwise stick with the T-Rex.
an alternative is to look at the Compass Knight E3D if thats available locally.
They are an 8S setup and probably the best compromise in the 50 size electric market.

helinutz , your half correct

Yes Align design this machine at the time to use there motor, ESC , and batteries, but soon found out it dont last. so they dont care anymore, 500 and 700 took care of that.
BUT! with alittle cash , like a new motor and a 10S esc , its quite easy to convert the rex into a machine that will blow the doors off the crappy. and alittle more cash and get the RotorWorkz HFX frames and Really shine which you will be able to mount the motor on top, and 2 6s 3850s will fit inside the frames on top of each other. slap a 32-3 in there , AND look out. Big door will open for brute POWER!
also if you choose to dish out a few more dollars , theres a longer Boom you can buy from a fellow in Aus. get a thundertiger 60 torque tube , get some 690 blades , and MAN HANG ON!!!

The e620 comes with the motor on top and the battery slides into the carbon lower frames as standard (no need to buy aftermarket parts)
Check out the photo, and you can see the motor at the rear and carbon lower frames, these are all standard parts.

Also, the motor that comes with the E620 (and E550 I think) is a Z-Power motor (produced by them for TT). These motors are great and really powerfull. I now have one in my 3DMP, and the z-power is the motor of choice for a lot of T-Rex 600's pilots now.

e620, Hacker A50-14S, 13 tooth pinion, 1950 head speed , 620mm SAB, 12 degrees pitch + and -, Motor mount and pinion needed to be modified. Standard speed controller + e-multigov = 6 minutes of bliss totally unbogable!!
But then my 10s trex should be finished for next weekend.
