The main thing is it needs to be assembled in the heli. And the bottom locking collar will be inside the second maingear so the stock one won't work because the bolt will hit the main gear . and the collar needs to be able to spin inside of the gear for the one way bearing to work. My solution was to use a top locking collar off a nitro century. It uses setscrews instead of a bolt.I positioned one set scew in the mainshaft hole so it couldn't slip and put flatspots on the mainshaft for the other 2 set screws. And of course i used lots of red locktite. If you're useing the third bearing block as i am you'll need to take the small end of the collar down about 4 mm untill it is flush. You could use a top lock coller off the swift, But the hawk one i used is a lot bigger and stronger. Don't whant that collar comeing loose Procedure for assembley is slide the stk maingear in place with the main shaft out or slid up.Then flip heli upside down and place 4 3mm thick spacers on the stk maingear, after removeing the screws of course. Then slide in the second maingear careful not to disturb spacers the teeth on the main gear will only line up in one of the 4 possible positions.then install 12-15 mm long allen bolts with blue locktite loosley. Now you can slide you motor back so the pinion is engaged. this will ensure proper alighnment of gears then tourqe the maingear bolts. Obviously you will need one of the long pinions you can find them at heliworld under swift upgrades.they make them in 9 ,10, 11, tooth. I'm going to order one ofthe double gears for the 620 swift comes when they come off back order to see how they did it. It should come with spacers and longer bolts witch will simplify the procedure.will just need an additional lock collar I'm thinking. |
