That sounds good Zack... even on my sat connection... it took 5 mins to buffer your med res video...

That's 5 minutes I could have spent studying your photos

Video is cool - but it has it's place.

Actually Curtis... it is cool that we are getting to talk about both the heli & the gyro!! It's your thread anyways

Did you happen to see the question on the bearings? To some that is a small detail - to others it is... well... a pain in the ...

Careful when you cut down another Helicopter that has a "proven" track record....I am not bored yet!! So let's not make this post a round and round thing....

I did not cut down anything other than the IDEA of everyone flying the same couple brands. Sorry if yours happen to be one of them.

Heck, I may buy one of those (among others) sometime if I so desire. Or not. It's nice to have the choice. And, I don't always like to be like everyone else, so I may lean towards a less mainstream model if I discover that it is of the quality that I would own. And, just because I have another choice,

It may even be a RAVE 3D!

Finally, another shaft drive on the market! And, a 450 size at that. How cool.

Now, what I find really amusing is the sudden "backpeddling" of the "marketing critics" once learning who was behind it. Too funny.

Mr. Youngblood, it's gotta give you a good feeling knowing that your name alone can quickly change one's opinion. That's powerful.

By the way, I thought the ads were excellent! (Far from cheesy.) Especially the first one. I'd be proud of them. High octane marketing for sure.

Keep up the good work. If the models don't get released soon, keep the teasers coming. They're fun.

Guys,

I am sure this is not proper forum etiquette as the internet never sleeps, but I do and it is 1:45AM here. So I am going to bed. I did not want people thinking I am just ignoring their posts.

I will keep checking the posts tomorrow and do my best to answer what questions come up.

Later,

Curtis

Thanks Curtis - Good Night

actually it is just about 3 here. Stayed up just to do this

Brian - you edited your post... I thought it was truly funny!! I can tell YOU ARE excited by this heli Cool

ecklund - I didn't sense any back pedeling. If Curtis hadn't jumped in here... I would still think there would be some frustration present on lack of information... with just the 3 videos.

I edited because Curtis didn't think anyone would get it. Yes I am stoked to the hilt right now. I LOVE the heli! But then again I have seen it up close! Want to fly one? Show up to MayDay and that might just ACTUALLY happen!

No........ Seriously!

Brian

I backpedelled. I have seen more than enough junk thrust apon us from clever marketing types. The only reason this heli has any interest is the man behind it.

I also believe he is the only heli man that could sell a machine on name alone. I have only bumped into him twice (down here in Austrlia) and he struck me as the most professional and sharing heli pro i have come across. He has my respect and that is the only reason for my change of heart.

we can never have too many, can we ?

ozace, fair enough. Your integrity is only preceded by your honesty.
(Actually your initial comment struck me as funny considering your signature!)

The old saying "It's the sizzle that sells the steak." is so true. And, you got to admit, that first teaser clip has SIZZLE! (c'mon, admit it! )

And, it just seemed like there was substance behind it. I can't wait to learn more about the Rave.

Happy Flying!

I think this will be a great heli. The only stuff that didn't exceed my expectations were the CY tailblades... They were just as good as I thought they would.

Everything else, SolidG, Stubz are GREAT

I myself am not into the little electrics I like nitro and gas but I will say I am interested in this one just because of the tube tail drive. So I have to say I will be watching it and will look into it when it is released. As far as the advertising I dont see anything wrong with it.

Wow, I love the TT and the pitch slider control. I use the Scorpion 6 in my SE and it rocks.

Very very nice heli. Hummm maybe I can get a decent price for my 2 V2 ?

I thought the Shogun V1 was the 1st mini heli to use the TT tail and they switched to belt drive in the V2 because the TT was a weak point...

the shogun was a pos from day one, and you know Curtis put his TT design through a battle of hard core tests before release it to the market.
