On the price point, this is the Retail price on the Kit. This is not the "street price" that shops will be selling it at. What likely matters to most people is what price can you buy it and spares for, not listed "retail" price.

Thank you Curtis.,
and please please don't take anything I posted as a dig to you or the heli.
The heli is 100% the bomb.. and I am dying to get my hands on one of my own.

just was concerned over the seemingly high price point which you just laid to rest.
thanks for your post and the marvelous heli.

If you play your cards right you could take over the Align world. People will pay a little extra money for a large leap in quality.

If you are reffering to the event schedule I can kind of answer that for you. And while I am NOT speaking for Curtis, I do know whats going on from day to day. And I can say we have discussed the event schedule many times, and with all of the stuff we have had going on this year it has been difficult to nail down any one event we KNEW we would be at 100% guaranteed short of the Nats, the XFC, and IRCHA. So in other words there is not an up to date event schedule posted at this time. I will make sure Curtis knows people would like to see one, but unfortunatly the same issue will likely still apply. Making cool stuff takes up a LOT of time for some reason!

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

It's getting closer to the end of July. I want more videos and pictures!

I haven't had a 450 in a while but after flying my friends a few days ago I remembered why I loved them so much.

Out of pure curiosity...

I would be very interested to know if there is anything Curtis can't do with the Rave in comparison to a Vibe 90?

What is the limit of small models?

Hey guys,

Sorry the kit is not out yet. My original release date was Mid June a little over a month ago. Still no major problems just a lot of little things. We have two minor parts right now that require small mold changes before the kit comes to market. Other than that everything is going very well.

I do have to say I have a whole new level of respect for all the people and companies that have put out kits over the years. I waited a long time to put out my own machines because I knew it was a lot of work. But had no real idea how much time it takes and the huge number of tiny details required to get something like this to market. I was sure we would be able to make the mid June delivery date. But no. So I am not giving delivery dates at this point other than to say the kit is very close and I will let everyone know when they are ready to ship out.

P.S. I do not intend this as any insult to dealers out there. I just want to make it clear to all customers, we do not encourage "pre-order" deposits that some shops are taking for the Rave. These "pre-order" deposits are between customers and shops only. We do not make any guarantee that these shops will get kits at any point sooner or later than any other shops. We have taken no money for kits or parts and will not until they ship.

I'd say it will be #1 in technology as it is fantastic.

so prolly,

Rave
Beam
Trex
MT
and so on..

I have personally flown all those heli's listed accept the rave and putting the MT on the bottom Is just wrong and hurts my feelings. You must of not had it set up right. on these 450 size helis its all about the mechanics of the tail rotor and the MT is far superior to the beam and the trex due to its dual support pitch slider. the Rave on the other hand looks like it will be the highest performer due to the torque tube and dual pitch slider. all the mt needs is metal mixing arms and green paddle and its very hard to beat.

fwiw..

Trust me ...It'll do a blade stop auto at least as well as my T rex 450...It's gettin' 'em started again that's the trick!!

Sorry I don't see it that way. the MT is fairly low tech bird. and to call its tail superior to the Beam is ridiculous the beam so far sets the bar for tail design.
the MT is a good bird but its hardly technologically superior.
its a simple low tech approach and it works for them.
it also doesn't seem to sell even 1/16 as well at least here.
