I am not a fan of this kind of marketing, it looks like an attempt to over hype another mini heli in an already heavily populated market.

Now that being said if CY is behind it i am sure it will find a following.

Marketing aside, is there any detail that can be published ?
Blade size, weight, powertrain and price are all helpful details.

Just watched again 325mm-350mm mini

we can never have too many, can we ?

I definitely will buy this heli if it turns out to be high quality. It's nice to see a new design in the 450 size range. Good job guys

Wrong! I say, bring on the competition! The more the better.
More choices can only benefit the consumer, in regards to price and variety.
Let's imagine for a moment how boring would it be if we all flew a Trex or a Raptor...

Careful when you cut down another Helicopter that has a "proven" track record....I am not bored yet!! So let's not make this post a round and round thing....

I'm with Ozace on this one... the videos are not enough to peak interest in me yet.

Let's see some more content - specs, more photos, weights, prices, etc.

I am Always interested in a cool heli... no matter what the size and how many are out there in it's class - but it feels like these guys' approuch now is to still tease us with videos.

It worked well leading up to a launch... but now that they have announced it is here - let's see some Content... I am not impressed just yet.

Hey guys,

Sorry if some of you guys felt the advertising was a little cheezy. We thought it would be a fun way to present the Rave to everyone. We are kind of proud of the heli and wanted to do a little more than just my usual hey, here it is. Obviously it is not to everyones taste. But for the guys that did not like the videos I hope you do not hold that against the machine. But, we did have fun creating the videos.

As for info on the heli, I will be glad to try and answer questions as best I can. I am not sure how much I can reply on this post as an advertiser before I get "pinked", I think that is the right term. But I will do my best. Worse case just e-mail me at cy@curtisyoungblood.com

Note- we will show the Rave at Mayday the first weekend in May and San Diego the following weekend.

The Video shouldn't have too!! Curtis is behind it and that should be enough said.

Anyone knows how high quality his products are and his name in this Hobby. If the Trex700 doesn't kill the Aurora then this 90 version WILL with no doubt.......... Bring on the competition...... Curtis WILL have the hottest 90 size out.

Maybe then the way the Aurora was marketed makes your nipples hard? You'll be waiting a long time to see that machine on the shelf.

One thing IS for sure, if Curtis says it will be out on such and such a date.....IT WILL

Quick...here comes my wife....hide that new Heli !!!!

Looks interesting... I like the single side frames. I wouldn't expect to see an overslung flybar.

Details on price and when it will be available?

Where do you see anything saying that CY has a new 90 in the works?

Correct, this is not a 90. It is basically a 450 class heli that can be setup for 3s or 4s. It fits 325 - 350 size blades. I have been running it with many different setups but at this point I like it best on the Scorpion 6 on 3S (with 325s) and the Scorpion 8 or 10 on 4S (with the 350s).

Main feature we are proud of is the tube drive. It is working very well and kind of happy to be the first (I think) with one out in this size.

Total Weight- about 815g on 3S

Curtis - I am truly sorry if I came across rude!!

If anyone knows helis - It Is You!!

Your products truly make that statement for you... and your experiance and skills are legendary!

I guess I am frustrated because I have to believe this heli is special because you designed it... but can't tell just yet.

Let's see if we can get you pinked

what quality of aluminum are you using in the head, etc.?

What materials are the gears made of?

How robust is the gear driven tail (which is Cool by the way)?

Glass canopy?

Will there be a kit with Motor, ESC, etc.

Are spares going to be readily available... and what does their pricing look like?

I am not sure if I should ask this... as it might be rude... but if you want to answer - since most of us have flown a 450se - how does it compare?

What design features make it special?

and of course... how much is it retail (can you say a street price)?

Thanks!!

The best part is it has Curtis name on it. That is enough to make me buy one PERIOD. No one more qualified and no more of an empeccable reputation than Curtis.

Next a flybarless 90!!!!! No, I don't know what is next, but if you boys think Curtis got in the manufactering game to just sell 450 size helis and never anything else, I have some ocean front property in my back yard in Fayetteville, Arkansas to sell you.

The new T-Rex 700 will be the new Raptor cost wise and it is nice to know that their will STILL be pristine machines for those of us who want them and are willing to pay for them.

It doesn't resemble anything else out there. A totally new and fresh design. I like the little thing.

I had been watching the video for the last couple of weeks and i thought it was a new Ebay heli. Been tons. Then I thought a new Air Hogs heli. The announcement at the end BLIND SIGHTED me. That is why I like it so much. Being blind sighted is good as long as it has a good ending and boy this did!!!
