Yea, I have the Skiddy back running. I had to transplant a new engine into it this last Sunday. I had been loosing power for the last month. No needle valve adjustments would cure it. On Saturday I was getting intermittent radio hits. Tore it all down that night and tightened up a few things and also noticed that the piston sleeve was scored pretty well in about six places and a couple of burs on the top corners of the piston. There's where my power is going. The rear bearing felt a little rought too. I went flying again on Sunday and thought I had cured it at first but no dice as it hit me again about 5 mins into hovering it around and a couple low close in circuits. I Went to Lingo's and bought a new 50 and dropped it in.... It cured both, the power and the radio hits which must have been comming from the rear engine crank bearing. Now I have to break in a new one and think about sending this one in for warranty repair as it only has about 12-15 gallons through it and only a year old.

No, what would have really sucked is....

if you had damaged the powerline. Probably would have been more costly than the heli itself to have repair service out and maybe somebody important would have been without power for a while

One of my friends cut a major powerline up in Norway once. Left a smaller city without power and made a nice cut into the wing of the F16 (a little over a foot). He took quite a bit of **** for that. He was cleared down to 300 feet in the mountains and the powerline in question was 140 feet above the ground. Kind of hard to explain
