I have to drill new holes on the mounting bracket for the Futaba GV-1..

My sensor is mounted at the highest point, and I'm about 1-2mm short of reaching the magnet properly in the fan (plastic fan).
I get 38-40% as max reading with stock mounting holes.

Anybody else had the same problem?

I also did have to drill new holes in my gv1 mounting bracket..i now achieve 97% on the sensor reading...

Dave how come mine lined up. I dont remember drilling when we built it...

I've had to use a dremal and slightly open the elongated holes just a bit to allow the bracket to slide up and down a bit, I'm also running opticle sensors , but it's the same idea (get the sensor close enough to read)

I've had to do the same thing to carbon and G10 brackets from my MultiGov and Throttle Jockey

Also I'm pretty sure the GV-1 comes with (3) brackets for a 30, 50 and 90 size machine, did one of the other brackets offer a closer solution?

Will try the 90 bracket later, and see if it's easier to drill new mounting holes on the motor mounting.

jal250r: is it possible you built it without the black OS washer, below the collet on the hub? It might just be low enough without it..

Made 1 new hole in the bracket for the 90 engine, works like a dream now.

Thank you guys for the replies! Good to know I'm not the only one with the "problem"
