Those fancy foams must be not bad at all, most of em sold out currently.

I looked at the charger models too, plenty of options there.

Any opinions on how well they will handle a slight breeze? 5-10mph maybe? I know perfect calm is better but I can rarely find that, don't have an indoor spot.

My very first airplane. The elevator wasn't level. The directions suck!! I think overconfidence on the sim had alot to do with it.Has any body got any info on these http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSLR9 IMO the flatout is very poor construction.

First problem i see is that it said RC Universe on it.

I've flown my Charger in 10 mph winds before. It's all pilot, but the plane did hold up to the stress just fine. The tape hinges keep things light, durable, but leak proof as well. I use a high power setup:

Hacker A20-26m
APC 10x3.8 prop
CC Thunderbird 18
TP 1320

I get a safe 10 minutes of 3d with that setup. The larger battery makes it a little more stable too.

I still have the foamie hangie from the ceiling. I bought a Nexstar and doing alot better. I am still interested in 3d, but I agree don't start out trying to "hang it on the prop". D$^% the Sim

That plank would fly great if it did'nt have 75 degrees of throw , you don't need that much to 3d a plank .

Learn to 3D or die trying !!!!

Ya, Brian, keep it simple until you've flown for a bit. I got tired of crashing those things. I never get tired of crashing my heli. :P

I got to see you're first landing several weekends ago, and I've gotta say that you're doing great! Keep on practicing.
