| I had purchased a Scorpion 8 turn motor about a month back and am thinking of purchasing the Scorpion 45 ESC to go with it for my MX450. My question is, what is a good pinion size to run with it, a 11 or 12? Next question, how do you mathmatically figure out what your headspeed will be, and what is the difference between a 6 turn or 8 turn motor? I dont know if it makes any difference, but I am running Kong 2200 11.1 25C batteries. I am currently running a 2900 KV Elecrifly Motor and a Thunderbird 36 ESC. I like the Thunderbird, but I was told it was not intended for heli's as there is no soft start and the Scorpion Motor has so much power I am worried about stripping the main gear unless I get a better ESC. |
