I need a little advice on gyros.
I have a brand new MX450XL that I am building,so far I have HS65,s
on the swash,9650 on the tail and a GY240 gyro.
My question is is the GY240 a decent gyro or should I swap out to a 401?
I have a GY401 on my Raptor and it flys great with no issues in 4 gallons of fuel.
Is the 240 going to have issues or do they work fine?
The second heli is a MX400 Pro that has HS55,s on swash and hs65 on the tail but came with a Century PZ2000 gyro.
I can not get the tail to even be controlable once the heli is off the ground.
Any experience with these gyros?
I had a Telebye gryo on another MX400 and it worked ok.
Should I just stay with the 401,s on all the birds?
THANKS for the help.
Helis are still pretty much new to me and I don,t really understand gyro setups yet.

The 240 is fine,it will hold just as good as the 401 you just don't have remote gain.

Been using the 240 for over a year now no problems.

The MX tails are known for sticking causing difficulty dialing the tail in. Make sure to polish your tail rod so it slides smoothly, and I recommend a CF tail push rod you can make yourself for 5 or 6 bucks. I did these mods and coupled them with the 9257 tail servo and it is so good now it is amazing. No one thing made the difference, but the combination is unbelievable!!!
