I'm new to the San Diego area and I'm looking for information on potential "flying fields" close to Carmel Valley that other small electric heli or plane pilots may be using for occasional weekday flying (instead of making the trip to the nearest AMA club field).

BTW, which one of the local clubs has the most tolerance towards heli pilots?

I know that there is Torrey Pines High School off Del Mar Heights Road on the left when heading east from the 5, and an elementary school with a big field (don't know the name) further up on the right. No idea if anyone flies there (my parents live off of Del Mar Heights, I live in Austin, TX), but there is definitely enough room there to fly a 450 or 500.
