| I got my MX 450 about a month and half ago. When I first got it, I was using a Electrifly motor, 3114 servos (including the tail), a 401 gyro, Castle Creations ESC, and a Kong Batteries (220ma 25c 11.1v). For the life of me I could not get the thing dialed in. Had all kinds of issues with the tail binding and wagging, and the bird was overall "glitchy." Over the past month I put on Youngblood Blades, a carbon fiber pushrod, and a new battery tray (angled) to fit the Kong Batteries. The bird was still "glitchy." I then buffed out the tail shaft, put on a pair on Gorilla Gear Paddles and Landing Gear. All the while, the bird still wasn't stable. I eventually ordered up a 9257 tail servo and my buddy helped me make a modified tail rod guide. I tell you what, yesterday, finally, the bird was rock solid, flew better than my much larger nitro ever has. It was so amazing how stable this bird is now. I flew 5-6 batteries last night and am having a blast!!! I guess the moral is, a little tlc and ingenuity can make a huge difference on any heli! |
