I am thinking about coming up for the event... but I cant find it on the AMA website. So I was wondering is this event AMA Sanctioned? I dont see it listed on the AMA calendar and there is no sanction number.

MadHeliz, I don't think it's a sanctioned event but we are a AMA club and proof of current AMA membership is required to fly.

bl8zn, We'll hopefully have a real raffle list soon but so far Align, HeliDirect/Outrage, and Min Air have pledged donations to the raffle. I'm sure RCHover will throw in some stuff as well. I'll put more info up when I get it.

I thought a sanction number was required by vendors for donations.

Not necessarily

I've gotten prizes from Minair, Hanson and Bergen for our local funflys and really all you need to do is send them a flyer for your event and ask to see if they can donate any prizes for it. The hardest part is following up and asking to get it done.

Of course...if you preregister and pay in advance, you get one included. They're $5.00 or 5 for $20. The prizes should be quite good given the size and interest of the mfg'ers. Tom

2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2.

I'll have to get Jeremy of rchover to post as he-be-da-man on this. We're having another organizing update tonight so perhaps we'll have some idea then. Tom

I do know that MSH has donated a protos kit already. I think HeliDirect has donated some outrage battery packs. I'm not sure about what the other manufacturers have donated.

Here's an update on what we have so far for the raffles.
HeliDirect/Outrage - G5 kit and batteries
Align - Kit(s) - not sure which one(s)
MSH - Protos kit
Plus some other smaller items as well. These have all been donated by manufacturers so a big THANK YOU goes out to all of them.

Hey CT...I'll look forward seeing you there and putting faces/flying/equipment to RunRyder handles. Should be a good crowd and plenty of space. No, we're only impounding the 72mhz radios.
