Hey JonDoe---we're looking for good contest suggestions. I know we're going to have a last helicopter "standing" for various heli sizes...it's very funny and guys do some pretty amazing things with their heli tuning to keep them in the air a long time. Sign-up will be at the field.

What have you seen other places that was interesting or fun?

also you could have an own music fly and a tandem demo or something.

and are there going to be manufacturers tents and stuff like that can a company buy tent space for advertisement?

Good idea on the tandem fly or own music fly. Ok, on your questions about the manufacturers:

Align is bringing a team which includes Szabo and Krause. They will be displaying their new 700 heli and other gear. Not sure what other new things they'll have but they put new things out all the time. Flybarless? who knows.

HeliDirect is represented by Henry Caldwell, an absolutely crazy good pilot. They'll be displaying their G-5 heli line and their outrage batteries.

Minature is represented by Bobby Watts and they'll be showing off their micro electric line.

Protos will be in a tent since RCHover is a major distributor of them.

Mikado will be represented by Bobby Smith and hopefully he'll have the new 400.

So, there will be some great equipment to see.

Hope that helps!

Hey---our open house on Aug 3 drew a really good crowd...almost 80 people as a warm-up to the phenomenon. Frank Columbia, Rick Gray, and Justin Chi came to show us how it's done...what a great time. The best part is that each of them is very different than the other, so you could learn a lot.

If a quickly pulled together open-house can draw 80, I can only imagine that our Phenomenon with some of the best pilots in the world will be an event you won't want to miss. Hope to see everyone there...it was great to see such good flying the other day.

Hello,

I am considering traveling down and staying overnight on Saturday night for the events on Sunday.

Do you have a schedule of events available? I would be traveling from NH late afternoon on Saturday. I was hoping to see some night flying on Saturday night, but if none are planned, i may just travel down on Sunday morning. This would be my first heli event. I will not be flying, but I am excited about getting the chance to meet more locals and the professionals in the hobby.

Thanks

-Chris

Most of the 2 day events peak on Sat and are semi deserted on Sun. Even at IRCHA, most people either leave Sat night or Sun moring.

Sun is considered a winddown day I guess. Same goes for 3 day events. Fri is a ramp up day that peaks on Sat and wind down with half deserted by morning on Sunday so plan accordingly.

The only exception seems to be Sunday oneday events.

gotcha....I might need to take off Saturday and travel down friday afternoon. I wanted to go to IRCHA this year, but it just did not pan out. I don't want to pass up on a good event so close to home.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, we're planning on night flying on Saturday night. We're hoping to finalize the schedule in the next week or so. We'll post it when we do.

Hope to see you there. You should bring something to fly. Not sure of your skill level but there will be a hover zone for newbies and repair work.

BTW, with it being Columbus Day on that following Monday hopefully Sunday will retain more pilots than usual.

Cool, maybe I will bring my esky belt CP. I would be definately in he hover area. I'm starting to move foreward. The heli wants to move into figure 8's soon.

My pantera is under construcion....just waiting fot my servos to arrive and then the gyro and it will be all set to go. This heli may have to wait for another event.

Sounds good, hope to see a bunch of people there

Is there a flying fee? or a spectator entry fee for this event?
Just curious...nothing is mentioned in the flyer

Thanks

Hi Chris...no flying fee, just a landing fee. It's $15 for 1 day, $30 for 3. Hope to see you there, it promises to be big! Tom

Hmm. It sounds like a single flight maybe possible without incurring the landing fee.

I'll leave the detail to your imagination.
