Three days of *THE* biggest heli smackdown event in the North East USA

Where: NEHC Field, Mansfield, MA. Located 30 miles south of Boston MA and 30 miles north of Providence RI. EZ to get to location from anywhere and all of Northeast by car, only 3hrs from NY

The New England Heli Crew has a beautiful, gigantic, heli only field and we're holding our first event at our new place. Columbus Day weekend is spectacular in New England---with foliage and bright skies...on a big open heli field.

We'll have great demos, contests, and giveaways, AND many flight stations running at all times--you'll have plenty of room at each one. We expect a lot of pilots and we'll be reserving blocks of rooms at local hotels to make it easy to come for the whole event. For more information,

We have permission to take overnight campers on our field. Not sure how many that means or any of those final details, but you can plan on being able to camp. Others interested...make a post or send a private message. First come first served on the camping.

Hey Tom,

Burt with SMRCHA up in Maine. I would like to reserve a spot for my camper. I want to come down with 4 or 5 guys minimum. This is gonna be a great event. It will be great to see the Align team That far up in New England, It will give the folks up this way a chance to see the best of the best without having to travel a zillion miles. Thanks guys for putting this together and if we can do anything from up here in Maine to help let me know.

Hi Burt---that's great! We'll plan on it. I'm with you. The Northeast hasn't seen this kind of pilot gathering and we're looking to get as many expert, sponsored pilots to come too, so thank you. And how about Jeremy McGrane...he still flying? He seemed like a crazy guy and was a great pilot, but I don't hear much about him.

Tom,

I think I know how to get a hold of Jeremy. I'll see what I can do, and if he hasn't got anything to fly I will invite him to come and fly my helis. He would for sure give them a wilder ride then I ever will. The last time we saw anything like this was the year we had Curtis Youngblood at our fun fly. I'd have to check my records but I think we ended up with 60 or 70 pilots that year. They came from everywhere. You guys should draw way more than that, you have a much larger population to draw from than we do. It's gonna be great. Again, let me know if we can help. In the mean time several of us have been talking about coming down and flying with you guys on some weekends this year. Let me know what kind of schedule you guys have and we can work out some times.

It's been a while since I made it to a SMRCHA event, having a kid is tough on the weekend passes. Hopefully I can make it up there this summer. Are you guys still doing scuttle the shuttle? That was a good time.
