Synergy N9 - Testing 8:1 gear ratio with YS 91SR

I was testing the 91SR with an 8:1 gear ratio on the N9 over the weekend (thanks Long Nguyen K. for the pinion and gear). Pinion is 16T and main gear is 128T. Running a headspeed of 1940rpm. The main gear was CNC'd from a very hard material and is rather noisy - the noise can be heard in the video. All in all, however, the 8:1 gearing felt pretty good.

Yes, it is noisy and I believe the noise will decrease a bit when the pinion and the maingear wear in.

Your Synergy seems to have more power than mine. I suck tuning the engines so I always have mine too lean or too rich.
