dart, glad ya got em. The set screws are 4-40's, I would have to go up to 6-32 to get the next size up (5-40 is available as well, but they are very expensive. 6-32 wouldn't leave enough meat in the hole because of all of the upward pressure these could receive. get some vid up and link it here when you do.

Speed, got your email and i'll get back with ya shortly on your topic, i'm getting some more gear put together and ready to ship

Or you could fly anyway and maybe the video demonstrate the crash resistance.

Cop: Sir, have you been drinking? Driver: Why? Is there a fat girl in my backseat?

Hey guys just wanted let you know I did get to fly them this weekend and got some OK video. Haven't been able to get it up yet though studying for a final. I had to use them on my friends heli because mine was down, and unfortunately, his needed some work too.

I have to say though, in an unbiased opinion, these gears are great. They made absolutely no difference in 3d, the heli would pop and tic tock like the best of them. I shot a few autos and they seemed to absorb any impact the heli took. My friend also tried his first auto on them and lets just say it didn't end up too good. But the Spider Gear survived without a scratch.

It seems like I always fly a turd. . .

dart,
thankyou for the review of them, I'm stoked about the way things are going, I havn't had one negative comment about any of the ones that i've sold so far, I'm goin for spider gear world domination,by that time I will have built on the reputation that all of you have given me and for that i thank every one of you for your business, trust and stickin your neck out giving a new unheard of product a try. All of you are the reason that sales are going the way that they are, again, thankyou from X-Gear

I would like to see spider gear for the MA Sectra G gasser. I had to add springs (like spider gear) to keep the heavyweight of the helicopter from bowing the struts out.

Hi GyroFreak, not sure if there will ever be a production version of the spider gear for your bird, i'm going strictly off of the popularity of requests at the moment, the rex 500 is next after i get the blade 400 and mini titan in production, but If you wanted to send me a lower frame as well as the stock gear, I would be willing to manufacture a custom set for you, Choice of spring will be up to you however since i won't have the heli here.

I realize that weight does matter in 3d but 1 1/2 ounces is not that much.

Lets do some math...1.5 oz is 42.52 grams

I am running Hitec 65MG servos in my 450 and each weights 11.2 grams

that would be like me strapping 3.79 of those servos on just for the ride....if you ask me thats a lot more especially on a 450 size bird.

If you are running HS-56 HB servos than that is like strapping on basically 4 extra servos.

Taus, this weight thing has been discussed many times now allready, please go back and read everything here and on helifreak, there are several reviews and quotes from people, particularly one that tested it out doing 3d and the weight of the gear did not make a noticable difference. Go to my website www.xgearheli.com and read the customer gallery page. This weight horse is dead now and has been beaten down more times than i can care to count. Like i have said multiple times, these gear are not meant for pro-pilots, these gear are designed to save main frames and components that usually get broken from either very hard impacts or roll overs after the other gear breaks.

Very Good product

Hi I am definately pleased with these XGEAR Good Quality After Market products. This weight issue is past tense & scrap it please. Sometimes these slight additional weights are really helpful as it's much more stable during 3D Flights. Always try it first before putting in comments!!!! Btw XGEAR, Do you ship products to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks! Warmest regards. e-mail: mcsb28@hotmail.com
