Hi! I was wondering if anyone could help me out on my R30. There is a slight, high frequency up/down motion on the tail (notice it while tail-in) and can't figure it out. Tail seems to hold (using a 401 gyro), but I really don't want my tail to explode due to excessive vibration. Anyone have any ideas that I could check? I've check the tension on my belt and it seems fine, but am curious if it could be my mixture settings. I am using a one-piece tail hub and it seems tight to me.

tail going up and down...

Rob, my R60 did the same thing, the tail was fine, it ended up my paddles were off center, check your main mechanics, the blades, paddles, etc.

Tail Buzz

My R60 has done this off and on, until I found that my boom supports were loose. Once I replaced them with carbon fiber supports the vibration is gone.

fix for high vib

Well, my problem was sim. come to find out, that location of gyro and type of pipe. My setup was as follows, 401 gyro in front, on the servo tray, and did have my Eng rich and running on the weston pipe.
MOVED gyro to the back, leaned out the eng; and now, smooth as butter

here's another!

The white pushrod holders sometimes get worn or just come a bit bigger than the pushrod. I've seen a couple raptor's that make a buzzing noise because the pushrod is vibrating in the holder. I don't think it's a problem, but kind of annoying!
