I found good deals on Via-CAD in Frys here around cowtown area. I was thinking of getting some CAD program for learning and making some simple hobby related products. The description on the box indicated it was as good or better than AutoCAD (but I find it hard to believe at $69.95). The description showed examples of objects that can be made with it, including model engines and other complex objects. Anyone have any experience with it?

I looked at the website, the demo video is rather impressive. Then again, I have never used a cad program so maybe I am easily impressed.

Very simple software, but it worth of $70. Don't get exited too much-it has 0 futures which real CAD has, but real one costs $$$$$$$$$$$$.
So you get what you pay for.
I am using CAD for while and I can't live without real "futures", just making simple extrudes, cuts revolves-is nothing.
