I was just wondering if anyone was using the www.fmadirect.com lipo packs and how they like them? They have a 3 cell 2100mah for $47.95.

All I use is FMA packs. Price is right and their charger is very inexpensive and works great. You can plug the battery's in while they are still hot it senses the temperature and will give you a percent of capacity remaining. The charger also balances the packs every time.

It blows my mind that these packs are not more popular!

FMA Revolution lipos are the best I've tried! I have a pair of 4S 2100's with 90 cycles, still performing like new. They have outlasted and outperformed a pair of Flightpower Evo Lite 4S 2100's, used on the same setup. The FMA packs are lighter and smaller as well! I have 6 FMA packs now, will be getting more soon!

I feel the exact same way.....everybody is blindly using FP and TP...most people dont even know why they are, they just follow the lead(and most have NEVER tried any other brand)....mine have (FMA REVOLUTION)performed flawlessly for HUNDREDS of cycles,as I only sport fly so far........unless you are REALLY pushing a heli I see no reason to spend 80 dollars on a battery when you get the same performance and MORE cycle life from an FMA battery

I AM really pushing a heli with these packs and they actually have BETTER performance AND more cycle life than my FP packs.

see now THATS really good to know as I've been flying for just over a year(first 3 months dont count, differnt story)....so I'm sport flying now....slowly getting into advanced sport/mild 3D.....and I keep hearing......yeah those batts are good but when you REALLY start pushing a heli nothing performs like TP/FP......its good to confirm what I thought...these batts(FMA)can hold up with the best of them....at a much lower price and higher cycle life.........the first FMA battery I bought has OVER 350 cycles on it(mostly hover/slowFF)but its still going.........this hobby is a lot of monkey see monkey do,and people dont ask why or research other products

FMA Lipo Info

From your testing it's sound advice. A definite purchase when I start getting into more hardcore 3d and would be an even greater value for the sport flyer over current cheapo batteries.

FMA is great! What I use from them is their charger.
The Cell pro 4s is An excellent choice. It sets a new standard of safety. A set and forget technology, because they've placed plenty of measures creating safety margins that make charging a no brainer.

They now have a newer model that charges up to 4amps. And of course they have other models that charge up to 10s packs.

My first lipo charging experience was with a crappie charger (I didn't know any better then). When I first charged my lipo it quickly puffed and caught fire. It was in a safe location. Thank goodness.

You have to have the right equipment, These batteries are getting more and more powerful, so you'll need the best.

I hope the photo uploaded of the charger I use. Thanks guys for the post.
