Digital Concepts CH-4550 AC/DC Smart Charger (110/240v) for Various Sony Video & Digital Batteries, with Car Charger
It was $29.00 It comes with a car adaptor and a meter that tells the charge capacity. This charger is by far better than the one that came with my 12Z.
Do you know what the charge rate is or how long it takes to charge a battery?

At the house it ormally takes abut a half hour for a full charge. Haven't tried it at the field yet but should be the same. I have used it exclusively for 2 months now and the Futaba brick charger is in the box. I like the idea of putting the battery in it and the meter telling me how much charge is still in the battery. Great to have if you travel, because then to recharge you just use the cig lighter adaptor.
Thanks for the picture. Do you mean 4.2v or 8.4v? That's the voltage for one or two cells (1s or 2s). The output should also be rated in amps. The Futaba chargers is 1.6A out. Is there any labeling to indicate the amp hour output?

Your right it is 4.2 v per cell but no measurement for the Amps but I believe it is 1.2 because that is a generic charge rate for the listed batteries you can use it on. You may be able to check on Digital Concepts web site to be sure. You could go into a Wolf Camera and ask them they carry the same charger. I also have one for my Canon digital Slr and have used it for 2 years with no problems.
