I've got a bad vibration on my MJ2, can't quite pinpoint what is causing it.

Had a bit of radio interference after landing, couldn't cut the throttle, the left stick wouldn't reduce the pitch or cut the throttle and the heli just slowly rolled over with cyclic input that wasn't from me. Took about 5 seconds for the motor to stop driving, bummer.

Ahh well, could have been worse.

The difference between a genius and a fool is that a genius has limitations.

If you are using an Actro, check to see if motor leads are shorting out inside the motor case. That will cause the problem you are describing--at least the part about not being able to shut off the motor.

Oh man... Krav I know how you feel right now...

I just crashed mine... again. Luckily I was only two feet off the ground. Receiver battery failed. It's an older Lipo and I didn't realize it was on its way out. Oh well. Basically I no longer had control and went for a nose dive.

Main blades, tail blades, boom, supports, push rod, tail shaft and main shaft bearing damaged. No biggie. I'm beginning to collect spare parts with all these crashes. LOL

The great thing about this is no more flybar!!! ...flybarless head survived!

Have you figured out what caused the interference? I've had radio lockout, with Trex, caused by my cellphone! Turn off TX. Then on and got control back.

oh noobs, not another one. Not sure what caused mine but I'm heading out to middle east so the post crash finger pointing will have to wait. I'll get my stuff ordered for when I get back. Smart move getting rid of the flybar, you'll be a lot richer than me right now
between us we could run a repair service LOL.
best of luck after the rebuild.

Very sad to see a quality heli in bits. Hope you get to the route of the problem and get yourself back in the air. Just remember krav, this was due to circumstances beyond your control and not pilot error, sometimes sh#t just happens.

A thousand nuts and bolts all flying in formation, untill one decides to leave and the rest follow.

Sorry to see that Krav. Could it have been a depleted tx or rx battery that caused the problem! Either way hope you get it back together soon.

Rosauro - time to update your website buddy. I would love to see you do a setup guide for the Rigid and more details of your flybarless conversion

Sorry to hear about your crash. Did the motor shut down ok when you lost the receiver pack?

Regards

Fergus

Thanks Fergus, all batteries were in the green which is a shame as it would be nice to have something definitive to point the finger at. I'll get the MJ fixed when I get home and take it to the same spot, leave it sat on the ground with the flight batteries disconnected but leave the Tx & Rx flashed up and see what happens... might see something, who knows???

Fergus

Yes the motor did shut down. But since I was so close to the ground there was still enough momemtum on the blades to do some damage. Picked up a lot of dirt!

Noobs, mine kicked up a lot of dirt as well. Perhaps we should start photographing the impact site, then we can compare scars later
After seeing the depth of cut in the ground you can appreciate why we all need to play by the rules, couldn't imagine the amount of physical damage to flesh and bone!

LOL Heli CIS... I didn't have a camera with me at the time. All I could see was the heli going nose into the ground. When the blades hit the dirt flew all over the place. The heli was probably 50 ft away from me and a chunk of dirt landed about 10 ft in front of me. All that stored energy has to go somewhere...
