OFFICIAL INFO FROM ELYQ:
Jan Henseleit obtained a patent in 2001 for Germany only. This patent was expired the following year and nobody has renewed this patent. ElyQ presently has a modified patent beginning on 2007/08/01 that applies internationally (application NO. UD2007A000004 international classification A63H) This has already been accepted by the patents office. ElyQ is the sole owner at present moment of this technology.

Then I have to apologies . I did not know that you have renewed and extended the patend for this kind of head.

Regards from Denmark

That would be me. The only thing I'm pro at is crashing. This is the point I tried to make earlier in regards to durability. To much plastic and not enough bling! It only looks good cause Danny and Marcus is flying it. I've seen several Trex600N take a beating w/major parts still in tack. I would love to see a crash video to see if it can compare.

Hi to all
Dearest Zman9454 and eyeflyhelis
I deeply think that everytime you crash, is absolutely not a real pleasure...
In fact I start crying and I finish only when the model is ready to fly again ..
Nobody would like to see a friend to crash, never never
But your requests seem to get more curiosity than the new head design or the new plastic - carbon frames and above all the compatibility and possibility to interchange most of the parts already sold on market (and you'll see how it fast and easy is to fix it)
During tests, in all few crashes - that accidentally we had
(((I think that nobody buys helis to crash them ... try to image if you hit an all 90 CF on the ground?!?...)))
there never been a compromise in terms of head vulnerability / durability.
We "fortunately" had landing gears, tail boom and blades broken and if sometimes we crashed on the concrete honestly we found one of the 2 lower frames broken. (but still proto materials)
But you know that is very impossible to have a crash statistic
The crash results in terms of broken parts only depend on how you hit the ground!!
It's pain and absolutely not nice to ask someone to crash...
Anyway please when it will be possible, we'll upload documentations about crash video and pictures during marcus and massimo flight tests.
Hope my personal thoughts will help you to better understand our way to work on this new model
Thank you
Best regards
Giuseppe

Guiseppe,
I would agree with you that no one finds pleasure in crashing, nor purchases a heli with crashing being their number one priority. That being said, the reality of flying these machines is that they do indeed crash and depending upon the skill level of the pilot in command, some crash VERY often ! "not excluding myself". Based on the first impressions of the Vision 50 construction and materials as seen by virtue of videos and photos it is not unreasonable to question how well it will hold up in spite of any crash scenario. I by no means wish anything other than a positive outcome for your efforts to bring a new helicopter to market. The skepticism is natural when only having limited exposure to judge by. I wish the very best to you and your team !

Dear fr8brkr
thank you very much for your good luck
You're kind and all of us hope to do our best to make this model a real interesting alternative in terms of purchase

crashing costs money it is never a pleasurable thing unless chief does it (he does it with style) now that being stated that helicopter looks very weak in design for instance i think in a hard crash (power on and side ways) it would easily snap he frames in 1/2. myself and many people below pro level crash on a regular basis - not intentionally- therefore to see how it handles a crash would be a selling factor, if you need to buy a new kit after every crash whats the point in flying that helicopter? the cost starts to out weigh the fun at that time. so my/our request are not skeptical but practical i will never again by a heli with out seeing it after a crash- 500, 50, 90, whatever..
and i certainly don't want to be changing out frames after every "hard landing"

only you have the power to make no difference!

Helicopter Looks Great

Heavy duty does not = crash resistant. I cracked a raptor frame right down the middle after a hard flat landing from a failed auto. Raptor frames seem very robust. Go with "as light as possible" that does the job, easy to work on and replace, make the parts affordable and that is good enouph. Getting weight down is half the battle and it looks like you guys have figured it out. Nice job.

I love these things!!!

For an "entry level" heli, it sure boogies!

Interesting that it features a non-inline swash with the inner and outer star being the same diameter... I guess there is no differential that way.

This is a great helicopter. Danny and Marcus were here about a month ago in Vegas with the Vision 50 and they were wringing the hell out of these helicopters! Definitely a top notch 3d machine. Sure it looks like a raptor, but the new design speaks for itself and looks a whole lot lighter than a 600.

Yep
Two Vision50 helis in midair crash, it appears the fantastic plastic frames managed very well the hard landing (mowed grass of course ), I need to see the video again but in my opinion they are strong enough, fly well at least in the Pro's hands and have a great stylish canopy design.

I'm waiting to get mine SOON.
