| i heard a rumor that Beam went to MA and had MA help them design the heli...

This rumor is completely untrue. Beam was originaly called 401 in Korea at the end of 2006. Korean market saw major acceptance over what was only Trex450 market. During 3DM, Beam met with MA in England and supplied them with Beams and spare parts (already 2nd generation) trying to give US distributorship to MA.
We had received the V2 Beam (known as 402 in korea and E4) in the spring of 2007.
The deal fell through because both parties could not agree on. It was mainly unfavorable to Beam who had development plans beyond E4.
Bobby Watts was flying the Beam and MA was displaying the E4 during IRCHA 2007 without signed deal with Beam. MA went to Korea to further secure the deal but at the end it did not work out. After the deal going sour, Bandit was announced.
Beam's main business is producing industrial brushless motors with inhouse machining and molding capabilities.
