Just a quick question, with the tt53 does the engine washer stay on?
Cheers.

hey, Yeah I love it. Im running it on an RJX pipe and i have been running 20/20 coolpower but am changing to 30% next outing. (Just cause i can not cause i really need it..) But i am very happy with it so far, It has got power especially combined with the xtremes low weight. Im also running a carbsmart. I have had "NO" problems what so ever with the new TT53 runs and fly's like a champ...

I fly with both OS Hyper and Redline 53, and yesterday I flew tham back to back, on 30% CoolPower, same RJX muffler with these findings:

TT REDLINE has about 30-35% better fuel economy. This was acctualy more then I first thought.

TT REDLINE has more power, it pulls alot more pitch then OS. And it dosent bog as bad or easy.

TT REDLINE costs less.

TT REDLINE has a problem...the bolt that comes with the engine is total waste, is strips directly.

So, now we only have to hope in holds up in the long run.
Have about 40 flights on it now, and love it!

Tom,

Which bolt are you referring to? I have a new TT53 sitting here, haven't decided which heli to outfit yet.

Thanks,

I think he's refering to the prop nut. I replaced mine with an OS one i had right from the start (cause id read about it). The Newer TT53's are meant to have this problem sorted out....So i hear..

Im also running +14/-14 at 2200rpm (on multigov) with max cyclic pitch without binding.
and i really have to screw up collective wise to bog this thing badly...

Thanks, I have a few OS prop nuts here and will go that route.

I will also be runing an RJX pipe on mine as well.

Yes, it was the prop nut I ment. I got some of the very first TT Redline´s so this problem should be sorted out by now.

I have a TT RedLine 53 in one of our X50's with the RjX Pipe ofcourse, and it is making power very well, but I think when I get it broke in all the way we'll really see the 53 come into it's power, I use "Permatex" Red gasket maker between the muffler and engine to help seal the muffler. The red is "High Temp" works great. Enjoy

Use some epoxi as gasket. Helps keep the heli clean, and it sure gives a lower sound to the heli as well. No metall to metall noise/vibrations between muffler and engine.
