Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > Anyone done a gasser?

So, has anyone done a flybarless gasser? I'm considering making my Predator Carbon Gasser flybarless with a V-Bar. I'm trying to take as much weight out of it and make it as agile as possible, and I'm thinking this might be a good way to go.

Any input? The Pred is dead smooth, it doesn't have any more vibrations than a glow heli, so I don't see why it wouldn't work well.

I have been wondering the EXACT same thing for my Maxum gasser.
I have yet to find anyone that has done it with a Mikado system.
I vote for you to try it, I will provide moral support
Seriously though, I dont see why it cant be done. The only thing to consider is vibration. Even the smoothest gasser still vibrates about 2 to 3 times as much as a nitro.
The simple fix would be to use that ugly green Zeal tape under the sensor.
V Stabi system costs $825 here, so it may be a while before I can even attempt this.
However, Im very keen to see it done

I'm going to give it a try, just have to get past tax season.

It will be interesting if anything.
I hope that you will make a detailed post about it as you go along?
Had my first experince with the V Stabi over the weekend.
Great software, but can be difficult to know what to adjust to get the result you need.
Just takes time I guess.
Good luck.

Oh yeah.....you just KNOW that its gonna look badass too

be wary of vibration issues for the Mikado system.

Have you tried it on a gasser?

Nope, we just finished trying it on a 50 nitro.
Headache, so a gasser will be worse

I should clarify, we tried it on the nitro, not real good.
Swapped the head and V Bar onto an electric version of the same heli, worked perfect.
So it has to be the vibration level.
I know others have had success with it in the same class heli's, but we did not.

Im thinking the CSM Cyclock system could be the go for a gasser.
Im certain that they do a version of the 720 gyro for a gasser heli, allows for the extra vibration levels.
Would be worth shooting the lads at CSM an email to find out what they can do.

Did you use the version with the IC sensor or was it the electric version?

im running a vbar on my trex600n for awhile now and have been loving it from day one, with not one issue with vibes or anything.

its all about setup on a flybarless heli, if not setup right it wont fly right.

The VBar with USB "on Board" has an sensor for gasser helis.

The old version with external serial=USB has mostly no IC sensor.

Have also a look at the tail sensor rate correction:
