Just got this the other day. I have'nt started building it. From what i see i have to enlarge the servo mount tray. I'm using the standard futaba retracts.. Yup he's right there is a set screw on the other end. I see here that there using hitec 225 for the retracts. Anybody here tried using the futaba s136g retracts? Any problems?

I just ordered a 50 size 222 body from Helicopter World for use with a Swift 620SE. Wonder what paint scheme will show up?

Anyway, I have a separate build thread here

Thanks Copter Doctor! I would never have thought of that. It looked like that pivot thing was made in one piece and not meant to be removed. It would sure be nice if the instructions pointed that out. Thankfully, I have found several forums like this one where I can piece in the steps between the steps in the instructions.

What part number did you order? (color is designated by different part numbers)

Scroll though this page on the Century site (AG is the green color scheme, AR is the red color scheme and AB is the blue color scheme). If you did not designate the color they would have probably sent what is the most popular or what they have in stock.

I ordered item no. cn4039ar bell222 50 size fuselage red. What i also noticed from the manual is that its for a century scale se mechanism. The fuse is also pre-drilled. Even the cut-out for engine cooling (bottom), swash (top) and starter hole is ready. I just hope this will work on my sceadu. I ordered this thru my cousin who is from california. Without opening or inspecting it he shipped it to me. When it arrived (a month later) looked at the box it was clean and had no box damage. Unfortunately it had a minor crack and paint chip at the bottom. Oh well thats what i get from ordering something half way around the world. Oh btw i already e-mailed heli-world just to inform them of what happened. I'm not expecting anything from them since i ordered this last august 18 and it will cost me more if i have to ship it back. Guys does you're kit include the retract gears?

No retract gears with my kit. It did come with the wheels and the collars to retain them on the landing gear. I have a spare set of wheels and collars since the retract kit also came with them.

Btw just got an e-mail from heli-world saying that what i received was the right paint scheme for the 50 and that the picture from their website is for the 60 size. Thats wierd coz all of you here who has the bell 222 in 50 size has the same paint scheme as in their website. They also mentioned that retracts are not included, and that somebody placed it there by mistake. Too bad for me coz at the time i ordered my fuse they had the 50 size retracts out of stock. I had to order it from hellyhobby. Now i have 2 sets of retracts.

The red kit you got is only available in a combo with the hawk mechanics and retracts - thats why it is precut and drilled. Looks like they decided to just remove the mechanics and send this to you since they were out of stock on the one you ordered..... I know this because your fuse is the one I originally wanted but Century told me that it is precut and drilled for the hawk mechanics, but they would remove the mechanics and sell me one. In the end I decided to go the other route. You did get the same fuse as us, except for the prefab work and free retracts..

You ordered the CN4039AR kit, they sent you the fuse from the CN1081ABLR kit - pure and simple, they sent the wrong thing.

Heli-world is not telling you the right thing on this. The one I have in this thread is for the 50, not a 60 - its the same fuse as yours with a different paint scheme. Like I said, I bet that someone decided to send you the fuse from the combo kit instead of waiting for the other to be in stock...

tengteng - Just curious as to why you didn't buy from Singapore or HK? The FunKey's are made and sold in your part of the world. Seems you would have saved on shipping and possibly the problems you have had.

Just got another e-mail from heli-world stating that yup they sent me the wrong one. That it was mis-boxed from the manufacturer.

Rchelijim: Thanks for the info. I did check the item no. you posted. Yep you're right.

Hoverup: I was in Hongkong a few months back at waigo hobby who is a dealer of funkey. They said they barely get this heli in stock from the manufacturer. Believe me if it was in stock, i'll surely get it from them. Its alot more cheaper in Hk. Don't know about singapore though. Thanks.
