Hi,

sorry for the crap sound for conference call, i guess it's my DSL line
I could not hear you and had a weird echo, so a picture will be better

When assembling and setting up the washout guide phasing, if using the 3D setup ( ball linkage at top end of washout arms), be very carefull to check full pitch & cyclic movement before tightening the washout guide, as you could encounter the radius arm rod end hitting the washout linkage rod end. The washout phase normal setting is bringing these arms / linkage very close and if not adjusted perfectly ( phasing ), you might make the linkages suffer.

One more thing, when assemnling the tail gearbox, the gear mesh looks a little hard but it's due to brand new gears. After the first flight, the gearbox will work perfectly ad hard points will diseappear, and this stays stable then.

Have a great build

Fabien

You are welcome,

the guys on the live build make really a superb job here, and the tip about putting grease on the orings of the torque tube bearing housings is a great one ( and it helps a lot to slide these in the tail boom lol ).

Ok back to the Motion Unlimited Tv Show, hard to explain my wife i'm looking a heli movie at this late time (3:10 am in France) .....

Best regards,

Fabien

What exactly do you do with those hemostats?
I see a few of them on your work bench, and inside the fuel tank in that one picture...

Never thought of a hemostat as a helicopter build tool.

The purpose of the photos above was showing an easy way to install the fuel vent assembly.

I use hemostats all of the time:
-retrieve small screws or set screws that are difficult to reach
-wash off the screws to de-grease them while holding with hemostats
-inserting/removing small parts inside of frames
-fuel clamp at the field
-pinching your neighbor
-etc, etc...

Thanks.

Well that's justifiable then.
Looks like I may be adding a hemostat to my heli tool box.

Thanks!!
