hey peeps...

after reading raptormandan's thread (and talking with him) and seeing how giving and helpful he is (awesome!) it got me thinking.

everyone needs a little help every now and then, expecially in a hobby like this one. sometimes people want to get into it but dont have the means to purchase all the expensive equipment that is needed. either to expensive or dont know what to buy to get started...

Well, i have a Caliber 30 that i would like to add to this "donation"... Its in very good shape and just needs a little setup and TLC and she'll be up in the air in no time. Engine (O.S. 32), new set of woodies and tail blades are included!)

(new set of blades donated by RR member, ANDRES.C (THANKS BUDDY!)

both raptormandan and I would like this setup to go to someone that really needs it. someone that is deserving and is commited to learning to fly these bad boys. but it has to be someone that can afford it too..

help us give this out... im sure it would make someone very happy and give them a good opportunity to fly with us!

With raptormandan's radio and this heli the person will almost be completely setup... is anyone out there willing to donate a gyro? something that works but not to expensive?? let me or raptormandan know!

EDIT: Trooper SAM will donate a GY240 gyro so the heli is complete. THANK YOU TROOPER SAM! person will only need suport equipment (starter, fuel pump, glow starter etc...)

i will pay for shipping of the heli to the "chosen one" (USA only please)

Would a GY240 be acceptable? I have one to spare if it'll do.

Not sure I'm qualified but I would like to nominate myself for the radio if its still available.

I love the hobby, but $ is an issue. Bought a bladecp used on ebay and loved it. I can actually go inverted and do basic aerobatics. But thats it. It has some basic upgrades though.
I have a swift16 that only needs a charger and TX/Rx. (a guy in the hobby me off ripped and I lost the cash). Im serious about the hobby but At this point Im strapped for cash.

In my country the hobby is still in its early days so finding extras is extremely rare. Money is the only thing keeping me from progressing.

But it nice seeing these are people like you guys out there. I hope to be one of those guys one day when I see some1 with a keen interest in this hobby.

Yours Respectfully
bernie

THANKS

WOW this is like hitting the lottery for me. I can't thank you guys enough. I will be sure to pass the generosity down as soon as I can. I have a ton of questions but I need to practice first. I would like to get forward flight down with a cheap to repair bird before I attempt to try it with anything else. Is there a place that I can read up on setting up this heli or a place that I can download the user manual? I will do a search.

I showed my wife and she isn't nearly as excited as I am .. LOL She thinks I spend too much time on the simulator now. But she won't let me fly in the house... I told her she has to pick one or the other. Dodge the blades or holler at me for hogging the computer.

canopy....

yeah true, you're a tad close than i am... but it'll be a close second between Trooper Sam and i

the caliber needs a canopy, the one i have for it is in terrible shape, pretty much not useable. anyone out there in RR land have a canopy that they're willing to donate? caliber, raptor, align, most will fit with a little modding

thanks in advance...
